In 1991, George L. Bunting, Jr. retired from Noxell Corporation (a Procter & Gamble Company as of 1989) as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. He served as Chairman of the Boards of Johns Hopkins Health Systems and Johns Hopkins Hospital from 1994 to 1998, as well as Johns Hopkins Medicine from 1996 to 1998. He was Vice-Chair of the Board of Johns Hopkins University from 1996 to 1998 and again from 2002-2007. George is currently a Trustee Emeritus of Johns Hopkins Medicine and Johns Hopkins Health System. He was a Trustee for Johns Hopkins University from 1985 to 2011. George was a Director of Crown Central Petroleum Corporation, Mercantile Bankshares Corporation,
